You can, but if you do, take the battery out and always shut down when not in use. Also, ALWAYS plug your computer into a power strip.

the manual says never to plug the lap top into a power strip, it needs to plug directly into the wall outlet, it will void the warranty. i have had mine for 1 1/2 years, its pretty much always plugged it, but not on all the time.

Not recommended. It will degrade your battery, and since most laptops have overheating problems, leaving it on 24/7 could cause a fire. If you want to take chances, go skiing or something instead, as it will be more fun.

You certainly can, but it will severely degrade your battery's performance. You should run the battery down all the way and then recharge it fully every so often to keep it working good.
