40's pinup girl hairstyles?

does anyone know a really good website that shows how-to's on 1940's era hairstyles(pictures are preferred).
i can't seem to find one that really knows the hell they're talking about. also, 1940's make up artistry websites.
my husband is in love with that era and his birthday is coming up, so i'm planning a susprise for him. i have to fit the look to a T.

There were so many good artists in that era, and about as many hairstyles.
