My car makes a like slapping noise in the engine, but it goes away after a few minutes. Does anyone no why this is happening? Are the valves self adjusting?

The same thing that wrecked your head probably did other damage too. It could be a piston slapping.

what kind of car, is it an remote control car? I bet the glow plug is not warm enough and the engine has slack in it until it warms up so it makes wierd noises. make sure you always manually move the piston to the up position after you turn off your remote control car so that the piston doesn't get stuck in the cylinder at the bottom. PLus you can also change you windshield wipers that might help.

take it back to them. you paid them to fix it. It's probably the valves. They require adjusting
