That is a good idea and it has some ups and downs. first off many parents wont trust their kids to go to somebodys house and just play xbox and ps so i think you willl need to gain the trust of all the parents. Also you will need to keep up to date with new xbox games, memory cards, ect. Also in games that have levels i think you should charge them per level, butother games by hour. I wouldnt charge too much though, I mean after all they are just kids. You will also need the kids parents to sign paper work stating that they can be playing at your house so you wont get sued if the parents dont know. Also, many kids have xbox's and ps2's if you really want a good business i would go for the hot stuff like a nintendo wii. I hope the buiseness works out.

The real way to do this will be to happy 6 to 8 TV's where the kids can come in and challenge each other, or fit , I don't know exactly what they do, but this is a real cool idea, perhaps 9 hr. They can purchase package deals, you must have the great controllers, and surround sound will make it more REAL. Then do not forget the light bulbs, use blue or red. Let me know how it works out. You might want to check at the pawn shops and the thift stores for the TV's and stands. Your games and supplies can come from those places that sell second hand games. Have snacks and charge for them, save the cans and you will be making money coming and going

I have to agree with Wise Guy. Any time you have children in your home unattended by their parents, you are asking for trouble. If they are under thirteen in most states, this is considered daycare and if you are not licensed or registered to provide daycare, you can get in a lot of trouble. If you want to provide some sort of arcade for teens, rent a building, get a permit, and build a business outside of your home. Make sure you have the correct license for your state to do this. Dealing with other people's children is a recipe for disaster. Essentially, having an actual business in a public venue relieves you of the responsibility of "babysitting" these kids. You can post signs that no one under 13 is allowed in without a parent and you can post "not responsible for accidents" signs. In your home, if they so much as trip on your sidewalk, you can be sued. An arcade is a good idea, just not from your personal residence.

Before you do anything, and I mean anything, write up a serious business plan. All your answers will be clear after wards. The purpose of the plan is to force answers to your tough questions from yourself! Best of Luck!
