Hey..welcome back..
so your question is why do Egyptians love Mubarak?
I didn't meet anyone personally who loves Mubarak, or even thinks he's doing good. All the ones that seems "love" him are somehow either too chicken to say otherwise (they can loose a job, a reputation, authority, etc..) or they benefit from his regime directly or indirectly by keeping a high ranking job.
He made us people who do and practice hypocrisy in our daily lives, unfortunately (and many other stinking qualities you 're already know about).
I personally despise him.

cuz hes better than Bush...
if Egyptians do love Mubarak, its only when they're writing an article in the newspaper, hosting a live show, being interviewed on tv, or if they need any kind of help. other reasons i can think of for poeple to like him would be if they are mentally ill, retards, or sick with Alzheimer

Why Egyptians love Mubarak?????
Because of the changes the great Mubarak has made to the Egyptian society ... because of his regime we are:
Poor,
hungry ,
weak,
uneducated,
unemployed,
sick & unhealthy,
hypocrite,
shallow,
abusive,
lazy,
inefficient &
ignorant
isn't it worthy to love him and his regime???

definitely. i like him a lot. i'm thinking of naming my unborn son Mubarak, and my unborn daughter Mubaraka. regrettably, i'm no longer married , nor will I be so any time interior the destiny by way of undesirable - and constantly deteriorating-status of the financial device. as a result, i stumble on it rather unlikely that i'll get any threat to exhibit my limitless love and gratitude to president Mubarak any time quickly.

Its really not so surprising, how many don't,and look eagerly to alternative, given the record of Egypt's situation regarding many aspects of its government.
I can think of many terms used in association with his name and his Government. but love is certainly not one of them.
Neither is hope or respect.
Those that do support him, who I have met, appear to all be benefiting from him remaining in office, as long as possible.
There are all types of agendas among those who do support him. But mostly personal.
None appear to have the interest and welfare of Egypt's people and the infrastructure of the country at heart.
Neither it appears, are they concerned with its long term international trade development, the potential of home grown technology development and encouraging international industries and corporations to invest in Egypt's future.
In this world no country can prosper with the attitude it is an island.
Tourism should be seen as a bonus industry. As it is in most countries such as Australia, not one that the Nation's economy relies on so heavily for its survival.
I feel most ordinary Egyptians look forward to the day that his leadership meets its end.
At 83,(almost), surely that can't be too long away.
Whether or not he has the opportunity to attempt creating a dynasty by having Ishmael stand, only time will tell.
Much of it it,though we should hope all of it, is in the hands of the people.
Making sure everyone they know is registered to vote and has that important card.
It is by having that card and using it that the Egyptian people can peacefully and finally, change Egypt's future.
Then people from overseas like myself, who want to invest their money in Egypt, won't have the need to almost prove their sanity to accountants.
He gave me enough ridicule over buying land! LOL
There are many who love and support Egypt in every way they can.
But we can't vote.
That is up to you!

well, president mubarak has a very good external policy with other countries and knows how to work for egypt and other arab countries good. hes always seeking to solve the palastenian case and other cases in the arab world.
but the internal policy, ummmm i cant see a noticeable improvements especially in economy
But the majority of egyptians say, the president we know is much better than who we dont know as he may be worst.. thats why we stuck on him.
and for myself i see hes good, just needs honest people to work with him.
