No it doesnt and no, it doesn't matter. It's not the best since it's a high price but if you have the money feel free. If not, go for something cheaper and once you learn and are better, get a better guitar. Start with a cheap squier or ibanez

For the guy under me. The truth is, acoustic or electric, either one is fine to start on depending on what you like.

Hell that would be a great guitar to learn on. I started out with a yard sale electric Hondo 2 (les paul copy that I payed $20 for). I agree though, that I wouldn't invest a lot of money in a starter guitar. Schecter is a good choice though, I got the Damien and its awesome, you can get a good Schecter for around $250 used , but for learning guitar, learn on a crappyfat *** neck-hard as hell to play guitar. It will strengthen your hands and make you a better player when you graduate to a good guitar. My opinion though.

Don't know if that particular guitar has a pick guard. try www.musiciansfriend.com they may have a picture.

Most people recommend learning to play on an acoustic guitar. I would say learn on a cheap guitar. That way if you decide you don't like it you haven't lost a lot of money. You can always buy a more expensive guitar down the road when you get better.
