I think that Monroe will have a break out year. With Shefield in the lineup I would stay with Monroe. He will give you avg, runs, and some SB,RBI. With Swisher hr and rbi

They are about the same to me.
Swisher has never hit .260 in a season, he can't hit LHP with power. I can't be the only one who noticed that (ie.. AL West pitching coaches), considering he went cold in June after he had faced each team. He did pick it back up in Sept. Aug was nice for power but he hit below .240
Monroe has cleared .270 for a season several times before so you know he is capable. He looks to lose a little on avg when he pushes for HR's and Leyland was pounding on the team last year to hit HR's. Maybe with Sheff in the lineup he'll lay off Monroe and he can go back to about 20HR's and .285 avg.
Other than Swisher being eligible at more than 1 position I could give or take either one.

oh hell yeah take this trade. You may never get offered Swisher again this season, after you see the monster year he is going to have. Swisher added about 20 lbs of pure muscle, and that can only help his home run total.

I would. Swisher is over all a better pts producer and is eligible at 1B and OF. Plus he is one year from the hitters magical age of 27.

you HAVE to take this deal, Swisher should be a 3rd-4th round pick, while Monroe is a 15th-17th round pick

Do it, Nick Swisher is a straight beast.

Don't recall the A's lineup but I doubt he has anyone hitting behind him who he has to protect. Therefore he'll see less pitches to hit than Monroe. I'd stick with Monroe based on the Sheffield factor. However, neither are going to set your world on fire.

I'd take it, swisher is probably still a 1B and OF...
