I'm not aware that there is a specific term for these. However, Mc, Mac and O' mean son of___? ie .Mc/Mac Donald (son of Donald) O'Brian (son of Brian).... Del, Dela, Della, D' usually mean from a place. La usually means THE(one and only)and it's usually feminine but not always.

yes. those are words that determine where a person is from. mac is ireland/scotland, O is ireland, del is spain, la is spanish...etc.
