education, whether you are talking about formalised institutions like schools or the everyday education we receive at home or through other sources can help prevent racism in many ways: we teach and learn about:
1) tolerance to difference
2) respect for cultural and religious diversity
3) similarities between cultures (breaking down barriers)
4)historical aspects to the development of cultures (generates understanding)
5) rights and respponsibilities of individuals within the global community
6) compassion and empathy for others

None. Little mice only climb through holes made by big rats. Meaning children only do as they see thier parent do. Racism is taught and passed down from generation to generation. It is up to us(the individuals), once we become adults or capable of formulating our own decisions, to right all the wrongs we were taught as a child. Ignorance is ignorance and no amount of education is going to change that.

i think it plays a big role.

it helps you learn about other cultures and to understand and accept their differences. many racists are probably the way they are because of a lack of education which would teach them that everyone is equal.

racism can also come from your surroundings.
