Hmm.. Kind of hard to answer really. Depends also on the style of the music I would have to say.

Eg. Some latin Songs could be:
Conga by Gloria Estefan
Margarita By H. Wilkins
Lambada by Kaoma
La Bamba - Los Lobos (Remake of Ritchie Valens Version)

Dance:
Let me clear my throat by DJ Kool
Let your backbone slide by Maestro Wes
Children Story by Slick Rick
Wild Thing by Tone Loc

and the more obvious songs:
Billie Jean, Smooth Criminal, Thriller.. by Michael Jackson
Karma Chamaleon by Culture Club
Like a virgin, Isla Bonita, You'll See... by Madonna
Holding out for a Hero, Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler
Making love out of nothing at all by Air Supply
Electric Avenue by ZZ Top
I Wear my Sunglasses at Night by Cory Hart

There are more, but I think those are fairly decent for some listing.

Too numerous to list. Michael Jackson had the Thriller album then. Prince had Purple Rain. Then there were artists like Phil Collins, Lionel Richie, Culture Club, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, The Police, Hall & Oates, Men At Work, Foreigner, Air Supply, Teddy Pendergrass, EWF, Mr. Mister...the list goes on.
And the reason that I am listing artistes & not the tracks is because at that time almost all the songs on the albums were great. Not like nowadays that with the exception of one or two artists, u can only get one song worth listening to on the CD.
