How do you get rid of rust? and the color?

It depends on what is rusted. You can use Naval Jelly to remove rust from metal. You can use CLR to remove rust from a variety of surfaces like plastic, glass, ceramic tile, poreciline. You can use Wink on some colorfast fabrics, vinyl, bathroom surfaces. And, good old lemon juice will remove rust as well, but it will bleach out the color of dyed fabrics.

Use "the works" products they're great. If you have a well, get a water softner. For fabrics, wink is great-it works on all, not just whites.
