Scientific notation math help plz....?

for some reason i can't remember the rules for multiplying with scientific notation values...

here is one of many problems...

3.00x10^(17) x 6.63x10^(-34)

answer is appreciated...

and explain how to do it plz

1. You separate the simple factors from the power-of-ten factors:
3.00x 6.63x10^(-34)x10^(17)
2. You add the powers of 10 to get a single power:
3.00x 6.63x10^(-17)
3. You multiply the rest, keeping the significant figures, if it is necessary (in multiplication you keep as many digits as the number with the least digits):
19.89x10^(-17) or 19.9x10^(-17)
4. It is suggested that the first part is written with only one non-decimal digit:
1.99x10^(-16)

multiply the numbers , (normal multiplication )
3.00x 6.63 = 19.89

conver this to scientific form ..
k x 10^n ...where 0 < k < 9 and n is any integer
or you can say in scientific form the decimal must be after first digit ...
so this means we have to move decimal (19.89 ) one place towards left side ..
so we can rewrite this as 1.989 x 10^1

given question reduced to 1.989 x 10^1 x 10^17 x 10^(-34)
use law of exponents ...to add the exponent of 10
we get 1.989x 10^ ( 1 + 17 + (-34))
1.989 x 10^ ( -16) is the final answer

3 x 6.63 x 10^(17) x 10^(-34) =

19.89 x 10^(-17) =

19.89 x 0.059 = 1.17

3.00x6.63x10^(17+(-34))= {Base is same so powers get added}
{therefore base is 10 and the power
becomes (17 + (-34) ).....
