DDR QUEEN: Your dog probably saw/sensed a ghost. Seriously.
They have been reported to do exactly what you described when they are in allegedly haunted houses.

When I was in my room and my dog was sleeping and he just woke up all of a sudden and started barking and growling at my bedroom door, so I got scared and looked by the door and the beads hanging down from my door were moving and there was no wind or anything so I was like freaking out. Then usually when you say wanna go for a ride, my dog goes nuts and runs all around but when I said it at that moment he just kept on barking and growling, then he started shaking really bad like he was scared. So then I got really scared and his under the covers until someone came in my room... lol!

I was driving a Semi trailer through the Canadian Rockies, and it was an extremely slippery foggy night...anyway,i was tired and decided i needed to pull off the road to let my partner drive(he wqas sleeping in the bunk). Well i came across a pullout ,but i was travelling a tad too fast ...when i entered the pull out,it was sheer ice...because other semis had idled there . Well, before i could even gasp i was headed over a cliff ...the only thing in my way was a snowbank...i did not know how strong the snowbank was ...all i could see below was snow covered evergreens over the bank,i started to go sideways(jackknife),...luckily i wa s light in the trailer and i bounced off the snowbank, and my head hit the top of the cab,,,my hands were glued to the wheel. ..i was alive...!!...my partner, half asleep opened the curtain to the bunk, and said what happened...i said..God@@m,F55555 car driver cut me off ...which was a lie of course...and then i carried on...but yeah i almost s### my pants

Last night, actually. Because I don't eat the correct proteins.... ect, I've developed sort of a sleeping disorder.

I wasn't even sleeping this time. I was lying down, thinking to myself about a conversation that I was going to have with someone today.

All of a sudden, while imagining this conversation, my heart began to beat quickly.

I tried to quickly ignore it, but it beat even faster.
And then louder, swallowing the sound of my television.
And harder, shaking my limbs with every beat.

And finally, I was afraid, so I tried to move to maybe escape to my little brother's room.
Alas, I figured the worst... I couldn't move. I had entered a state of paralysis (this happens way too often).

Inside, I struggled, only physically twitching. Everything swam in and out of my sight until I calmed my heart rate down just enough to roll onto my other side and start screaming.

My mother, just arriving home (yes, I live with her, I'm only 15), placed her keys downstairs (which I heard because my heart had calmed down) and started walking towards the top floor, hearing me.

As soon as my arms and legs relaxed enough for me to stop screaming, I explained everything to her.

Horrible.

It's been a few years, but when I was camping in the Pacific Northwest a couple of brown bears decided to throw down right next to our camp site. We were cooking pork chops on the grill when we heard sticks breaking under feet that were moving fast towards us. They started huffing and puffing and growling at each other and I was REALLLLLLLLLY scared!

Last summer while vacationing at a house on Lake Michigan. I was the first to wake up and went to check on the kids. My eleven year old son wasn't in the room he shared with his brother. I went downstairs expecting to see him watching TV..he wasn't there!! I checked the bathrooms..nope! By this time I was getting quite panicky! I ran outside to check the yard...even though he knows better than to go outside with no one else being up....NOT THERE! I run back in the house in full heart failure mode screaming"OMG JAKE'S GONE!" My Mom pokes her head out of her bedroom and says"Lis, will you relax, he went on a walk with his Grandpa about 45 minutes ago!" Believe me, my step-dad made sure they left a note the next morning! Damn early rising morning people!

My ex called me & said he and our little son were in a broadside car accident & to come quick. When I got to the main road the fire truck went by with sirens blaring, followed by a police car, followed by an ambulance, and I fell in behind them all. I saw their car smashed in the middle of the intersection. I pulled over and ran to the car. A fireman was taking my son out of the back seat and handed him to me. He said "Mommy, why are you crying? Look! I have a yo-yo!" And I started laughing, too.

Never been so scared in my whole life.

I got attacked by a german shepherd about a year and a half ago. He bit me in the leg and in the stomach before his owner (A bodybuilder) wrestled him off of me. I think he was going for the kill. I thought I was going to die. Needless to say, I'm afraid of strange dogs now.

I can't say I have ever been REALLLLLLLLLLLLY scared.

Ok, I take that back. The last time I had anaphylactic shock and my throat was closing shut and I couldn't breathe and couldn't get to the phone. Luckily I got through it but, yeah, that was pretty scary.
