Britney shaved her head so they couldn't do a drug test on her hair. Apparently residual drug traces remain in the hair for a very long time, and since her hair was about shoulder length they could test to see if she had taken drugs both before and after her kids were born.

I heard that she did it so she could not be made to take a drug test from a hair sample. Not sure if that is true though.
