Apply to as many colleges as you would like. The more that you apply to, the better chances you will have of getting into college. Make sure that it is a college that you would like to attend. Also, if you are planning on entering on scholarship or any other type of financial aid, be sure to look at how much money that the university is offering you. See how the quality of life is on the campus, such as the dorms and cafeteria. I hope this has helped you!

I don't think the number is as important as whether or not you like the schools and what your chances are of getting accepted. A C student could apply to every single ivy-league school and then some, and not get accepted into any, while an A student would be stupid to only apply to community colleges.

You should make sure you have a couple schools you know for sure you can get into, and where you'll be happy going. A couple schools you think you can get into, and a couple reach schools that you might not be able to get into. All the schools should be ones where you will be happy and where you will be able to major in the field you want.

Don't forget, it costs money to apply to colleges!

might be too much and a waste of money. I applied to 7 and got accepted by 4 of them. You should definitely have a back up college that you know for sure you'll be accepted in just in case you don't get in to the one you want. I knew a girl from my high school who was too confident and she only applied to top universities. Turned out that she did not get accepted by any and she was forced to go to community college. Sad story considering that she took all these AP classes in high school.

10 can become costly with all of the application fees and what not. Generally, high school seniors are advised to apply to 5 colleges. 1 safety school that you know you'll get accepted to. 2 that you would love to attend, and 2 that are a little above you.

I'd apply to 8, and do it like this (this is what I did for graduate school):

2 dream schools (ones you doubt you'll get into, but hey, can't say you didn't try)
4 good-chance of getting in schools
2 safety nets (maybe even 3)

But apps are ALOT harder work than you think. It took me about 2 months to get everything in order. Good luck!

It fairly relies upon on the guy. i individually think of that each and every individual could practice to a minimum of 10 yet there are nonetheless some colleges of theory that think of in any different case and say you're able to carry on with 4. It fairly relies upon on you. while you're incredibly beneficial on the place you will get in and the place you prefer to circulate to then perhaps you would be a 4 individual. many faculties have diverse economic help applications and one equipment could be extra acceptable than yet another. many human beings think of that they boost their odds of looking a great college for terribly much via employing to extra. It additionally relies upon on how lots funds you have. especially cases you may get a utility value waiver yet many human beings will no longer be able to try this relatively in the event that they are actually not low income. in case you will no longer be able to coach to lots i'd surely inspire you to maintain your recommendations open and look at various faculties. you could locate something incredibly remarkable for you.

10 is a good number provided you have the money to pay for the applications. Application fees can get expensive.
