I did some searches for breastmilk and found an alarming number of questions about husbands/boyfriends wanting to breastfeed. I am curious as to how many of these answers are real. I have one boy and had a very hard time breastfeeding him. I also didn't like the way my breasts looked so I would keep them covered from my husband. I would always wear a bra during intimate moments and he never saw me naked while I was nursing. So the topic never came up with us and I'm just curious is this just a select group of men or do alot of men want to breastfeed. Just curious, so please don't belittle me or give me crappy answers.

I think only a very small minority of men want to breastfeed. The others just want their wives breasts so they can use them the way they usually do during sex.
I think it is considered a fetish if a man wants to actually breastfeed like a baby.

This question was asked on a message board I was a member of, for women who were all due at the same month. People answered it really honestly. The answers ranged from both members of the couple thinking it was hot, to both members thinking it was gross -- with in-betweens, where the woman didn't like the idea but the man did, and vice-versa. Overall, the people who liked the idea were mostly men, and they were the minority of all husbands/dads.

In my opinion, the idea of it is probably more appealing to husbands (and maybe wives) during pregnancy, than it seems once the lactation actually commences ... once there is a baby feeding, the mechanics of the process come to everyone's attention, and it's probably a lot less of a turn-on. That said, I believe a minority of couples probably do it and get a kick out of it. Personally, I think it makes kind of an interesting fantasy, but it's not likely to be an interesting reality, and it's not something my husband and I would ever actually do. It'd be crossing a threshhold of weirdness that we just don't cross. We're too vanilla.

I don't know what you saw, but I will tell you what I have found though experience. I have worked around a lot of males. I have heard quite a few talk about being disgusted by the thought of drinking breastmilk, either directly or indirectly. My first husband thought it was funny to pretend to breastfeed while I was nursing, which is bad for the baby psychologically and made breastfeeding harder. My second husband enjoys it. We have found that it strengthens our love and bond, but never while our child is feeding. While you are breastfeeding I have found that if you are comfortable with yourself and how you look, it makes the process easier, you produce more milk, and the baby feeds better. I hope this answers your question.

Men are curious as to what it tastes like. My husband loves the way my breast look and always wants to copafeel! LOL. We tried making love without my nursing bra and it just leaked everywhere so I wear my bra all the time it's like i feel naked without it! LOL. My husband has tried and we just have a laught about it. He has also tried the breastmilk on his finger and he says that it tastes sweet.

Maybe they are curious about how breastmilk tastes. I don't think they really want to breast feed. I leaked a lot during nursing and my hubby was never turned on by it. I would wear a bra a lot until I got the leaking under control (I was like a freakin' milk machine!) and then even after that my husband was careful about "spending time" around my breasts because it wasn't appealing to him.

I think it could be something inside that makes a man want to do that. I have a friend who's married, has 2 kids, but has always told me that he would love the opportunity to do that.
My husband told me he'd like to do that as well...

I think it's something to do with bonding... as you do when you're a baby with your mother. Breastfeeding becomes bonding time for mother and child and I think that's something that some guys miss and perhaps even get jealous about when a baby comes along. It's a way for them to get close to "mother" again and perhaps feel safe from whatever it is they fear.

There are people in general who it's a fetish for, like adult babies, but I don't think it is necessarily that with men who are curious about it. I also don't think they would hang in there for a full meal, just more so a taste, perhaps curious as to what it tastes like compared to the milk in your fridge. I dunno... That's just my thoughts on it.

My wife and I have three boys and she has breast fed all of them. Personally, I would not like to breastfeed. For the simple reason, it looks like it hurts. Especially when she gets bit. Not to belittle anybody, but God made us a certain way knowing than men couldn't handle breast feeding a baby.

I'm not sure if you mean do the men want to nurse or do they want to breasfeed their children. There are products on the market specifically to help men induce lactation, so apparently there's enough men who are interested to market products for them!!

My husband LOVED my body pregnant and nursing, and would just snuggle beside us with this big happy smile on his face while I nursed our son. As far as actually NURSING, he wasn't interested, but he wasn't turned off by watching our son nurse or by my leaking--not turned on by it, either, but not turned off, and he did enjoy watching our son nurse in a non-sexual way. Maybe you should talk to your husband about it--you might be pleasantly surprised about his opinions of your pregnant/nursing body.

I am not sure on this one. My husband thinks that pregnancy is beautiful. He thinks pregnant women are sexy, I found that kind of odd. But, he did not want me to breastfeed. Not because of changes in my breasts he actually wanted to be able to get up at night with the baby and feed him, and also he knows I have very limited me time as it is. I am 34 wks preg with our third boy and he still says no to breastfeeding.
