Vista has tons of issues with software and drivers support at the moment. I had a friend that wanted to play her online game www.toontown.com and couldnt get it to play, toontown has an faq that says the security is so high on Vista that it currently does not support vista. Shutting down lots of security options was the only way I could get it to play and that took alot of researching the internet. You are going to find more problems with Vista than you may want to deal with. It might be a good idea to hold on to that Vista version for about a year if your not wanting to deal with the headaches of driver and software support.......
