There is a crypt decorated with the bones of monks in Rome. I visited it a couple of years ago - see link:

Could be the Cappuchin crypt just off Barberini in Rome, consisting of 5 chapels where the ceilings and walls are decorated with patterns made from bones and skulls of the monks. The final one has the inscription "what we are now you will become, what you are now we once were". Also possibly some of the catecombs, possibly those of San Genaro in Naples. I'm sure there are other sites around Europe though.

There are a few ossuaries in this country as well, such as that at The Holy Trinity Church in Rothwell, Northamptonshire www.rothwellholytrinity.co.uk Famous international ossuaries include Palermo's Cappuccin Crypt and Kutna Hora's ossuary in the Czech republic.

Look up ossiary and catacombs. There are several, some in monistaries. To save space, they often buried people, then dug up the bodies later and put the bones into an ossiary.
