Hey, i'm 16 and just wondering if any one can give me some good things to talk to girls about, because i always find it hard to start a conversation, and please i'm 16 nothing about knitting, cheers

Music! 90% of people like music and this includes girls. Ask them about what music they like. Chances are it's Blue, or Backstreet Boys or some thing similar. But anyway just ask about music and you start a girl talking.
The trick to a good conversation is to listen, if you let her do say 80% of the talking she will be impressed, when you do say something make it seem insightful and then ask her opinion on a related topic so she starts talking again.
If she thinks you are a good listener she will probably like you.

You could always try asking her about things that she's into. Movies, music, art, photography, TV etc etc. In my experience, (although being 16 seems an eternity away now!), men generally rely too much on lines or being smart. I would have much preferred a boy talk to me as a friend. Try it and seee!

.. ok.. when approaching a girl you must be confident, but not too much. first you can compliment something about her, then just slowly walk away. i know it sounds odd, but if shes interested and cares then she will come after you... then when you guys get talking just talk about normal things like music, hobbies, food anything normal. just act calm and cool, oh yeh, and smile, always show a smile now and again, girls love a guy with a breath-taking smile... hope that answers your question. x good luck.

knitting's actually becoming fashionable again!
but anyway, the best way to get talking is to ask questions - people love talking about themselves - ask them what they want to do when they finish school, what music they like, if they're going on holiday this year, what they like doing at the weekend
or talk about something funny that happened to you or ask them if they saw a certain program on telly that interested you
girls arent monsters - as long as you dont talk about something really boyish like cars and football, any topic is fine

Lol...Knitting.Well music is usually a really good conversation for 16 year olds so maybe talk about your favourite bands etc.

why not trying saying "hi" to start out with.. then ask her how she doing today.. try walking her to class.. that always work for me but damn, i was always late of class afterwards.. so good luck..
