I am so pleased with your question and statement that I have permanently STARRED your question to be forever embedded in my account.
I could not have said it better. That why they fight! They want no boundaries/restrictions imposed on them. And to make matters worse, they want to impose their immoral principles on others.
But liberals NEVER openly say they hate Christians. They cunningly and carefully say that they hate only hypocrites (aka Christians to them) What stupidity!

I love you so much that if you don't follow the craziest people I have ever made, some of whom claim they can leg press a ton and some of whom get caught smoking meth with gay prostitutes, I'm going to send you to burn. My spiritual thing doesn't work like that. A lot of Christians agree. I think the idea of hell is more for fundamentalists to feel superior than for a punishment for sins.

Speaking of hate, I look to how your "question" is worded . . .
Liberals don't hate Christians - most liberals in this country are Christians. Liberals distrust the influence of religion on government. I don't believe there should be a state religion, regardless of how popular a particular religion may be. One of the reasons we (WASPs) came to this country was for freedom of religion, to get away from the state religion in England.

I will answer, as a liberal.
I don't hate Christians. I hate hypocrites. If you are a hypocrite, then consider yourself hated. If you are not, then you have nothing to be offended about.
Clearly, however, you are no Christian.

That is just absurd...the problem that liberals such as myself have with the Christian right is that when you throw in religion as the backdrop to debate, then reason and rationale go out the window..........we are facing real problems that need real solutions.....

No, because they don't believe in Hell. Liberals genuinely fear Christians, because they think morality is going to be forced upon them. They think all Christians are out to take away their freedom. What's interesting, is they don't view Islamic fascism the same way.

When you say "liberal" are you referring to george Bush (expanded welfare state with prescription drug plan, signed Ted Kennedy authored education bill), Rudy Giulianni (pro-choice, supports funding abortions for poor women, told hannity he supports "reasonable regulations" of gun ownership), McCain (wrote the immigration amnesty bill with Ted Kennedy), Schwarzeneggar (pro-choice, anti-offshore drilling, wants to regulate greenhouse gasses).
Which of these liberals are you referring to?

How simple life must be for you! You can lump everyone you don't like into one category. When you wake and find the real world you will find Christian Liberals, Muslim Conservatives and lots of other people in between. Until you do wake, however, you should really try to keep your drivel to yourself.
