I've set up my network with a linksys wireless-g router. I've also attached tivo brand wireless-g adapters to my two tivo machines. Without securing the network, all devices work. However, when I try to secure the network the tivos won't connect. I've tried every setting I can think of but must be doing something wrong or leaving something out. With security in place, the tivos detect the network but simply won't connect properly. Can anyone suggest a step-by-step (or at least very basic) guide that will help me to solve this problem.

I've read every document on the tivo website related to connecting a tivo to a secure wireless network but am having no luck.

Thank you for any information, suggestions or guidance you can provide.

I have 4 Tivos connecting to our secured home wireless network. It took several tries when using the Tivo wizard to connect each but eventually the WEP settings took. Also had to reboot the router each time I connected a new one.

You aren't the only one with this problem. I've had people in who know a lot about electronics and still haven't figured this one out. I know this isn't what you want to hear. It has something to do with the security password, and re-setting it, which sort of screws up everything else that you have connected to the wireless router. I've just left off the password and my two Tivo's seem to be fine.

Hi Andrew,

List your TIVO's mac address as trusted in your networks security. You can find the address in the TIVO setup where you are trying to get it to connect.
