First, I'm sure that those who are violent in school, are also violent outside of school. Secondly, most people don't even want to be in school--due to fear of bullies, violence, or just the feeling of being caged-in.

This makes it so hard for the students who actually want to learn, and make something of themselves. It also makes it difficult for teachers--it's really frustrating to teach a bunch of kids who have no desire to even be there.

Alcohol, drugs, and violent homes could be the reasons that some kids are violent in school. Having no ambition--just waiting for the day they are old enough to quit--could be another. Some people just don't like getting up in the morning.

Whatever, there should be a lot more alternative means of teaching than at the traditional schools. Who wants to go to a place where they might be harmed or killed? More people should home school, use online schools, etc. Those with enough money would probably be somewhat safer in private schools--but if they start giving vouchers for everyone to be able to attend these private schools--they will become the public schools.

In my opinion, it's a lack of respect from the students to their authority figures and a lack of responsibilty on the parents' part to be involved with their kids and know what they are into and what they are doing.

I think in a lot of cases, the kids don't get the attention from their parents and will do whatever it takes to get that attention. Even if it's negative attention.

I would say lack of teachers. I think Teacher sometimes label then bad automatically and not actually helping them. Teacher write letters to parents; parents in turn, turn to their kids, how bad they are feeling that they got letters from Teacher. Lack of communication from both Teacher and parents. My daughter is only 6 years old and she misbaved one time only, the teacher wrote me a letter informing me that counselor help is provided if I was wanting one, that already is enough to drive me wild, but I dont let it bother me, I know my daughter is a good kid and she is not perfect. If parents and teacher would communicate right, and telling kids what it is about that they are being punished, and not in a mean way that the student will lost self respect. Kids needs us a parents and Teachers. Teachers are the substitute to our kids. Don't treat my kids like he is already criminals, treat my kids like he is a human being and that human being make mistake. I think it should be a discussions among parents and Teacher in groups and not as individuals.
