At a young age (12) I was embarrassed by the thick black hair on my arms and shaved it - This continued on and off for several years and now it is thicker, blacker, courser, and unruly! I would not suggest doing it for any reason.
I have heard of several females that have it waxed! I haven't tried it, but am kicking it around -
By the way, I am now a grandmother in her 50's and wish I had had this answer BEFORE I ever shaved!
Good Luck

When you shve your arms your hair grows back thicker and darker maybe not the first few times you will see that it grows back the same. You would have to shave them about probably once a week or so. But if you dont like hair in your arms try Nair it last longer. Also bleaching them that way your hair doesnt grow back thicker or youd ont feel spikey when its growing they are there but blonde hairs and you cant see them.

When you shave your arms after a couple of days to weeks the hair tends to look thicker. But if you wait a month to do it again than it looks the way it did before you shaved. If you plain to shave your arms then I suggest you do it every 1-2 days.
P.S. It's easier to wax the hair every two weeks.

I shave my arms. I don't like them completely hairless, so I prefer them to be grown out for about 2 weeks. I only shave my arms about once a month because of this. If you want smooth arms all of the time, though, you'll have to probably shave as often as you shave your legs. In the beginning, your arm hair will feel thick and prickly as it grows out but to me, mine has seemed to thin out over time (I've shaved my arms for around 4 years now). I cannot imagine not shaving my arms, as I had very dark arm hair.

The hair gets kind of thinner but still the same amount when it grows back. You'll have to shave 2-3 times a week. Only bleach it if your hair is dark, if it's light (like mine) bleaching won't any difference at all.

Your hair does not grow back faster and thicker... I've shaved my arms around 416 times [that's once a week for about 8 years], and it's NEVER grown back faster or thicker... waxing hurts... a LOT.

It definitely doesn't grow back thicker and darker. I have dark hair, and mine grows back lighter. I shave my arms like once every two weeks if that. And, it doesn't give you skin cancer, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Ok I did this when I was younger, I honestly have no clue why, but i did it either way. Anywho, it didn't grow back thicker (Actually it grew back thinner, so I guess this was one plus side), nor did it give me skin cancer... but it was terribly itchy as the hair grew back. It also made me feel weird because I had no hair on my arms, and everyone else did. So I really don't recommend it.

I had a friend who shaved her arms and it started to grow back faster and faster and darker too. If you havent shaved them yet I would say dont because hers looked sooooooooo terrible after about a year that she ended up having electrolysis (i think thats how you spell it) to fix it and spent a pretty penny doing it too.
