just purchased a 8g ipod the one with the larger screen so you can put movies on it and stuff well i had to return it because windows vista does not supoort i tunes which is the program to get info on to the i pod they said the up date will take at least 6 months i am willing to wait but then someone introduced me to the microsoft zune never really heard of it so i just want a compare them honest answers only please!

Zune is better!
I have an ipod nano but I want to get a Microsoft Zune. ipods play song in a special format- APEG-4 so you can't use the songs on any other program. This means that you can't use it on Microsoft PowerPoints, and programs such as Windows Media Player won't be able to play it. This also means that if you ever do get a different music player, you'll have to start your whole collection again (except for the CDs). The Zune also has a better screen. With an ipod, if you've downloaded any MP3 songs, it's hard to play them on itunes.

Ipod, Itunes work fine with Vista Home on my laptop. There was an issue regarding songs that are protected, but there is a work around for this. Also the 8 G ipod does not play videos unless you install linux app that allows you to play avi files.
