Yes, you have the right to cuss him out. Not only for going back on his idea but also for being rude to one of your relatives! It's great that you two are far enough into the relationship that he feels comfortable talking to your family, but show some respect dude!
He should apologize profusely. You should make him win back your trust with hard labor, like polishing your car or something. And tell him NEXT time, he should discuss whether or not the rules have changed before he does something like that. Sheeesh!

It doesnt make a difference if he was rude or not. It doesnt matter if youre married or not... He doesnt not need to be answering your phone. Trust me that is a problem that starts early and turns into something else. Kind of like a snowball, it starts off small, but then before you know it.... your email will be getting checked, he's going to start going through your stuff (if he already hasnt) From experience, it's a trust issue. Anyone that can not trust you is not worth the headache or the time. Talk to him and if he cant respect your privacy your belongings, etc. then leave. I hate to sound harsh, but from experience I know where this can lead.

i think that is kind of an ivasion of your privacy... it is your cell phone after all. if you don't like the idea of answering each other's calls, confront him about it. say that you respect his privacy and would appreciate it if he respected yours as well. if this is a sneaky attempt at probing around your life because he's insecure or suspicious, then maybe he should just realize that answering your cell is not the way to go at it.. nothing beats good, open communication between two people in a relationship.

Yes you had a right, if that was a rule that you too or he made and you agreed to it then he needs to stick by it. You go girl!
My question would be why did he want that and then changed?
Was he talking with someone he didn't want you to know about and now he's wondering if your doing the same? hummmm?

This guy sound like he has control issues. If you're going to stay with him and don't want him answering your phone, take it with you everywhere, even to the bathroom. He has NO excuse for being rude to anyone who calls you! That is inexcusable!

Ok you should be mad and I feel you should sit down with him and tell him why you are mad. That is not ok if you agreed to not answer each others phones. I think he was Jealous and thought it was some guy trying to take u from him. Anyway tell him that wasn't ok and let him know u mean it no answering your phone.

i would say yes. 1. it was his rule not to answer each others phones. 2. he was rude to a family member of yours. i would question why he made that rule in the first place. maybe he has girls calling his phone and thats why he doesn't want you to answer.

I would agree that you have the right to go off on him......even without him making the "rule" that you do not answer each other's phones.......speaking rudely to anyone that calls you.......is just not acceptable....and what does he have to hide that he doesn't want you answering your phone anyway???? that seems a bit odd to me
