I'd go with Magic and Bird. They played more games against one another than Ali and Frazier fought against one another(obviously). Plus, I like the storyline of it all...they began their rivalry in college...it went to the pros...their rivalry was a microcosm of the Lakers-Celtics rivalry. Plus, their images and personality fit their respective cities, making the rivalry even better...Magic was flashy and relished showtime, just like LA, and Bird was more blue-collar and pedestrian, a la Boston. So many memories, like when Larry pulled Magic's Lakers warmup jacket open to reveal a Celtics t-shirt. Classic rivalry, along with Wilt vs. Russell.

I'm a basketball fan and I would say Ali/Frazier.
Bird and Magic each had 4 other people on the court with them.
Ali & Frazier were the only two in the ring.

Hands Down Magic and Bird, I am probably the only person that doesn't like Ali. He lost a bunch of times, Ali is a product of his surroundings. Also, his battle with being ill puts him over the top in a lot of peoples eyes. They loved Ali because of his style and vocal bytes before fights, thruthfully, every black NBA guy talks the same amount of trash. Magic and Bird formed what is the NBA now. Give it a rest Ali supporters, to have all this hype and then be named the #1 athlete of all time is horrible. Good Boxer, great showman, but thats it.

Larry Bird - Majic was one of the greates rivalries in Pro Sports ever. Far exceeding the Ali & Frazier rivalry. Majic / Bird was constant year after year, with each rising to the top at various points. The teams rose to the occasions as well. Those nail biting point for point double/triple overtime games delivered the most fun to watch pro sport games of all time, for fans on all sides of the ball.
