I am just wondering. Since fossil fuel 'obviously' causes global warming, how do people explain the medieval warm period?

And the "Little Ice Age" followed shortly there after... It was the earth in a hiccup, and it lasted for 400 years. Maybe we are in a warming trend again before the next big freeze?

Not a lot, but that warm period is attributed to Milankovitch cycles, which are predictable, not the burning of fossil fuels.

That depends if you consider Peat to be a fossil fuel.

I don't think they were burning alot of fossil fuels back then, but thats just a guess. I think your premise is flawed.

fossil fuel speeds up the process, it is not the sole cause.
