someone asked the queens surname,i thought it was regina,totally wrong but i got a violation for it,why,for giving a wrong answer.what does a violation mean

there are some malicious people on this site who make a career out of reporting people so that they lose points
incidentally, can I please ask EVERYONE to complain about Violations when they are not warranted.?
A lot of people have been deleted recently after working very hard to get up to a level where they can ask and answer unlimited.
If you get violated for something that is NOT even close to being offensive, please report it with the email header "harassment by another user" and state that you do not deserve this violation. Say that it is harassment and you want the matter investigated and the REPORTERS account suspended.
I will be reporting EVERY one from now on
Lets stop the mindless yobs destroying our work
Just one point though. If you deserve the Violation - take it on the chin !

Hard to say why violations happen. I asked a question of who thought candidate so and so would be a good US president, and was given a violation. It all beats me of the reasons.

I had a similar experience. I believe that if someone reports you, Yahoo! just assumes you did wrong and cites you. It's easier than actually investigating what must be 100's or 1000's of these per day.

cant understand it 'Elizabeth Regina' is a correct term and just means Queen Elizabeth. This is not her surname but is not offencive. I am a Brit, and I am happy with it

Because it sounds like another word that some **** reported you for and Yahoo do not vet the complaints properly .

look at my name i earnt that name through stalkers reporting me for jokes they didnt like and comments i made points mean nothing on this site so just put on what you like and live with the loss.just use this site as the joke it has become
