I didn't watch the Oscars because I knew it was going to be a Liberal lovefest. I am glad to hear that the movie with the least anti-American sentiment won Best Picture and Scorsese got his Oscar.

There was never a question that Al Gore's propaganda piece would win that award, the fix was definitely in but it wouldn't have mattered anyway. The documentary is a thing of the past, what we have now is purely leftist propaganda. Look at the other, and I use the term loosely, "films" that were nominated in that category.

Look at its competition: Two films about the "atrocities" in Iraq, the story of a pedophile Catholic priest, and a film about extreme Christian zealots.

The category should've been retitled: Best Left Wing Propaganda, of which Al's movie WAS the best.

Was anyone surprised by the Dixie Chicks win earlier this year? Didn't think so.

Of course as the Hollywood elite liberals have got to make a statement on behalf of their man Al Gore which was painfully obvious last night now wasn't it? I knew this before it even started. They always think they know what's best for the common folk in America.

I stopped watching the Oscars years ago.

As if "Bowling for Columbine" was a "documentary", so goes "An Inconvenient Truth".

The inconvenient truth is that Gore still arrived and left in a gas guzzling limo, and came to and left LA on a private jet, that uses nearly 4 times the fuel per nautical mile than a commercial jet.

I'd respect him a lot more if he put into practice what he preaches.

I think they should have had the Dixie Chix and their five Grammies singing for Al Gore before he got his Liberal handout.

All these awards are is a bunch of Liberal artsy fartsy weenies patting each other on the backs.

And the more anti-Bush, pro Liberal you are, the greater your chance of "winning" something.

They need to put all these awards up for the vote of the American people. Then they may mean something.

Of course it was. You don't have to be a rocket secientist to figure out who's going to win an award in a town filles with liberals voting on a film made by and staring a liberal Democrat. DAAA !!

Absolutely. The Academy, an organization with an overhwelmingly liberal bent, was simply voting its politics. Plus. it's a small way to replay Election 2000.

Yeah a lock for the biggest crock of manure since Fahrenheit 911. Al Gore should do what he does best.. grow beards and look like Grizzly Adams.

Yes. The al Qaida allied Liberal Media/Entertainment would obviously promote their own agenda through every avenue available to them.

Al Gore also won the "Club Foot" award. It is given by neo-Nazis to propagandists in honor of Gimpy Goebbels.

True, it was a given that it would get the "Best Documentary" Oscar. Politically correct, you know.

Melissa Etheridge's Oscar was no more of a surprise because the song and her interpretation of it were really outstanding.
