Depends on your definition of "dirty", but for graphic sex I'd say "Desert Hearts" (lesbian art film, not X-rated).
Now before you start getting any ideas, I saw it by mistake - honest. My friend and I were extremely uncomfortable throughout! It was billed as a "womens film" - we thought it would be like "Steel Magnolias"!!

Have you ever heard of The Brown Bunny. It stars Chloe Sevigny and Vincent Gallo. Or the movie Kids its kinda disturbing.

There are far dirtier films that American Pie that aren't considered pornography, that is considering one's definition of pornography. I would pick John Waters' film, Pink Flamingos.

check out the movie Shortbus. it is a traditional narrative with penetration. the director, John Cameron Mitchell, justifies the sexual content with the argument that it augments the story.
