other than alot of Americans not agreeing with the President and the fact that he is from this state. Why is every one so against my home state.

No I didn't take a poll. I just kept seeing questions about how ignorant Texans are and how it shouldn't be part of the U.S.. ALso about how worthless Texans are. Blah Blah Blah...
ANd yes there are some rude Texans just as there are rude people all over the world and if you visited here and came across any I am sooo sorry.

hmmm i think its the bad press love. like you say, your current prez doesn't do wonders for it, while tv and film always seem to show klu klux or inbreds... what can i say? its the public domain history of the place. also, religious fervour is reviled throughout a widely irreligious western world, especially coz of the 'crusades' over in the middle east, and thats another thing texas is right or wrong famous for.
i'm sure though thats it's much like any other place, right? with malls, young people with crazy hair, charity bookshops, coffee houses and hospitals in the cities, and churches, farms, disfigured murderers, three legged snakes and human barbecues in the countryside, right? see? funny.

What? No way! I live in Texas and I love it! The only reason I can think of that people are against Texas is because they haven't been here to experience this great state. I wasn't sure what to expect about Texas until I moved here. Now I don't want to live anywhere else.

I just got back from Galveston. No problems. Haven't heard anybody bashing Texas, except for three things: the high capital punishment rate, lousy driving skills, and excessive heat in the summer. Otherwise, I haven't heard any complaining at all.

eh. I think their is kinda an ego attached to texas. a we're bettter and bigger than everyone else. I like the south...but texas, to me, doesn't really fit into the south...sure...it's cowboy hats and what not..but, it's somehow a very different attitude. no offense, you asked.
