Anyone know how to insert a hyperlink in an Outlook contact notes field, linking to a Word doc on the local intranet?

The only way I've found is to insert a hyperlink in another word doc and then copy this hyperlink into the Outlook contact details.

Some clarification: I'm trying to QUICKLY insert hyperlinks into contact notes field (big empty area on "General" tab) in Outlook 2002. These hyperlinks would link to Word docs on the local intranet. The fastest way I've found is to open a new Word doc, insert a hyperlink to the desired file (choose "hyperlink" on "Insert" menu, browse for file to link to, type in text to display, etc. OR right-click text to display and choose "hyperlink" from shortcut menu), cut this link from the Word doc, and then paste into Outlook. Maybe this is the best way, but I was hoping for a shortcut, as I'm doing this often.

I am not following your question here. Pasting the link into Word should be the same process as pasting the link into the Notes field for the contact.
