Services like that are monitored and watched for acts of prostitution. It is not illegal to advertise these services, but they are most likely listing themselves as a "Massage" or "Full-Service" professional to not tip any one off too blatantly.
It is illegal to trade sex or sex-acts for money. It is not illegal to strip or perform erotic shows without physical contact which is what these ads want law-enforcement to believe they are offering.
The ads are mostly a guise under which escort services use in place of sending the workers on the street and to increase business since it's likely 90% of them are offering sex.
If an undercover police officer happens to be one of the Johns that call and visit and are offered sex for money that is the point at which an arrest would be made.

There is no difference between erotic services on Craig's List and prostitution. I have no idea how Craig's list gets away with this. It's blatant prostitution on the internet and I think it's gross.

The legality of services offered on Craiglist is not guaranteed. It is the same as prostitution.

I've never been on craigslist, but I'm sure it's the same as on other sites and in old-fashioned newspapers. "Massage" and "escort services" are legal. They most likely cross the line at some point, but if they don't get caught, they can't be prosecuted.
