I never have done this and I have never heard of it being a standard procedure. They probably get paid hourly or by the job and it isn't an occupation that relies on tips as part of their income. I have offered a drink to delivery people though and it is usually appreciated (pop or water, not alcohol) :) . I wouldn't worry about it. Usually furniture guys are in and out quickly because they have a truckload of stuff they need to get done. Enjoy your new stuff!

No, you do not have to tip delivery guys like if they're delivering a TV. If they're delivering pizza, then you should tip them.

There's nothing wrong with throwing them a couple of bucks but it's certainly not required or expected. Hourly employees generally don't factor tips in as part of their income.

In USA that type of tipping is unwarranted, unless you ask them to move some other furniture around to make placement of the new more enhancing.

No, you don't, but it's been my experience that a little tip goes a long way insofar as they will change a location (where you THOUGHT you wanted it) etc for you, just much more helpful all the way around.

I have. Besides their companies do not pay them well.
Did you offer them a drink?
