Any Filipino with a valid passport should be allowed to enter USA in the same manner as an American entering Philippines. Would anyone here support such legislation?

Well there is a reason for The Philippines, Mexico, and India are on the "blacklist". A huge percentage of Tourist Visas never went back to their home country. Instead they show up 13 years later wanting to go back home for an emergency.

I would support the legislation with some restrictions still in place such as the criminal background and health checks. Other then that, if the person has a sponser here in the states that can be a good leg to stand on to get started more power to them.

We have enough room here in the states to build on, we can't be that selfish with the USA. The Philippines was right there with us in the beginning of the Iraq war, hell, cut some slack to the Philippines. (No I didn't support the war, just giving credit where credit is due)

Americans should be allowed to own land in the Philippines just like the Philippine people can in the U.S.A.

Americans living in the Philippines should be able to avail themselves to free medical care in the Philippines just like the Philippine people living in the U.S.A. can if they cannot afford medical care.

The children of Americans living in the Philippines should be able to have free education just like the children of the Philippine parents living in the U.S.A.

Americans over 65 living in the Philippines should be able to collect a pension from the Philippine Government just like Philippine Citizens living in the U.S.A. can collect SSI.

Americans living in the Philippines should be able to own business' in the Philippines just like the people from the Philippines can own business' in the U.S.A.

The U.S.A. does not require a Philippine Citizen with a Visa that chooses to retire in the U.S.A. to post a $20,000 to $50,000 bond in order to retire in the U.S.A. so maybe the Philippines should stop requiring it of Americans that have a Visa and want to retire in the Philippines.

If the Philippines provided job opportunities for its citizens so they did not have to try and escape their homeland in order to make a living perhaps the U.S.A. would be more loose with issuing Visa's. Few Americans are coming to the Philippines looking for work.

If corruption wasn't so rampant in the Philippines making Passports and other legal documents in the Philippines easily obtained for the right price maybe the restrictions on U.S.A. Visa's for the people of the Philippines would be easier to obtain.

I have no objection to the Government of the Philippines making it more difficult for Americans to come to the Philippines. That is a decision for the people of the Philippines to make. If you think it would be benificial for the people of the Philippines to do so then you should start lobbying your House of Representative and Senate members. If Americans cannot meet the restrictions then they would be forced to spend their money at home or some place else where they were welcomed.

Filipinos see American values as disrespectful to God and elders. The Philippine government is extremely heavily inspired on Catholic values, mutually as there's a an emphasis on separation between Church and state in American. usa tries not ignore on the subject of the reality that not anybody is CHRISTIAN, yet on my own Catholic. the government retains that for the period of suggestions whilst finding out rules on gay marriage, abortion, divorce, and so on, mutually as the Philippine government prohibits any rules that don't mirror Catholic values. additionally, there's a solid emphasis on honor and admire interior the Philippines mutually as there's a solid emphasis on honesty and independence in usa. Filipinos take honor and admire so some distance as to looking forward to toddlers to consider each and every thing an elder tells them. If an person tells a newborn the sky is brown, the newborn does not argue. Filipinos see it as disrespectful whilst human beings show that they are on top of issues of their own minds. individuals fee self-expression and making their own options, mutually as Filipinos are predicted do in basic terms as their mum and dad tell them till they have toddlers of their own. Even then, Filipino mum and dad will nonetheless make comments on how their grandchildren could be raised. American values are regarded at as disrespectful from a Filipino attitude because of the fact now and returned our own options and suggestions would variety from our mum and dad. particularly of having a communication approximately the place our suggestions come from, a Filipino determine gets indignant that his or her newborn does not think of ways she or he does.

No, I wouldn't support that legislation but I would support making it easier to receive a tourist visa. I know people that have been denied for a tourist visa even after showing travel to other places, money in the bank, job, kids her, etc and they are still denied. It is a little too hard and the formula for who is granted a visa and who is denied is too difficult to predict and still somewhat random.

If given an opportunity, then there would be more Filipinos than Mexicans over there in the USA. Most of those given the opportunity stay there as illegal aliens. I think it is better that they remain strict with their rules.

I don't think that will ever happen, especially with this war going on against Iraq. Our President is very strict against that, the laws in U.S. have become extremely strict & will become even more strict over time. Absolutely NO ENTRY if you are not a legal citizen, Permanent Resident or have a valid Visa.

NO, each country has a right to protect its borders as it sees fit.
What about allowing foreigners to own property in the Phils? I know that a foreigner can own property in Australia and I suppose the same applies in the U.S.

Well, if u wanna see unproffesional or peopel with bad intention in the US, sure.

By the way, if u wanna see muslim southern-filipino terrorists invading the US...same rulesshould be appiled.

And it is very unfair for the people who came to the US praying hard and/or paid(fake) a lot for a visa. So, unfair.
