Texas laws about committing a relative to insane asylum?

I need some links to websites that can tell me how to commit a relative to an insane asylum. I don't want to give details, it would take too long. We aren't trying to be cruel, it just needs to be done.

If the person is minor you must take them to a facility and fill out a document attesting that they are a danger to themselves.

If it is an adult you have to call a peace officer to observe that the person is a danger to themselves or others and that person will take them to a facility and fill out the documents - unless they just shoot them.

The care of the mentally ill by the legal system is tragic.
