There is no necessity of ragging at all. It is a very bad and shameless activity. It is done under the excuse of making friends with the freshers. But there are may other good methods of making friends than doing ragging. Ragging is done by such students who are who are sadistic in nature. Even now good laws have not been made to curb ragging. Many deaths have taken place because of severe ragging, which itself is a proof that it causes trauma.

Ragging is conducted by seniors for the sake of domination & ego satisfaction upon their juniors. But this ragging custom evoked as ugly culture filled with wild fun & brutality.
One should tune their mind before being ragged that he/she should not feel trauma as this is the stupid ideology.

Trauma, yes.
Its still with shock that i remember the horror of my ragging.
Its sadistic, humiliating and bizare. Even now I cry about those days
