the only way to truly stop procrastination is to employ several steps at the same time. the first thing you need to do is create a schedule for large events or tasks and a timeline for when each thing is due and how long you think it'll take you to complete.
then start with the biggest , hardest things on the list and the things that need to get done first. by starting with the biggest and hardest, you'll find it much easier to stay motivated when you start the smaller projects. plus, you'll feel like you actually accomplished something. (it's easier to feel like you've cleaned you house when you've vaccumed and dusted rather than just cleaned a dish or two of the counter)
then you should break up the big tasks into smaller parts. it'll make it seem like you have more to do at first, but you'll be able to stay on track because once again you'll feel like you've actually accomplished something. instead of one rediculously hard task crossed off the to-do list, it'll be several small ones, which seemed like they only took a few minutes each.
the last bit of advice that i have is to only take short breaks at or around your workstation. walking away from your desk only makes it easier to forget about the work that's piling up on top of it.

We all fall into this rut here and there. The key is a schedule that you adhere to. Write up a schedule allowing breaks, etc. Post it and try your best to follow it. Reward yourself with a new pair of jeans or earrings, etc. when you do complete projects on time without procrastination. Once you start, it should become a lifelong habit.

Keep a daybook (I use one like the kids use for school homework, where each week is laid out with big spaces for each day) of what needs doing, make lists for everything else. Have a bulletin board for notices, notes, letters, bulletins, etc., and a wipe-off board on the fridge for family notes and what groceries are missing.

Discipline my love, discipline. I have the same "disease" as you. Scarlett O'Hara Syndrome. "Oh well....I'll think about it tomorrow".
I find the only way to cure it is to force yourself to get it done. One thing at a time though. Try not to overdue it. If you accomplish one project and you feel up to it, move to the next. If not...take it one at a time and do not stop until you're completed.
Hope this helps.
