Most of my writing has been a direct result of research I have conducted for college and graduate level work. I am involved in educational research, therefore, my personal statement will reflect my chosen career in education.

Personal statement: I believe that inside every child is a brilliant mind waiting to be awakened. Because of this, in my writings, I address issues that help others understand instead of judge.

My weakness: Procrastinating. Perhaps one could consider my viewpoints as a weakness. I have many views prior to research that go against most of what I find. That may not be a weakness to some people, but what really weakens my writing is when after conducting my research I still hold my original opinion that current research data does not support it. I just can't help thinking there are better ways to educate our children than what has been and is currently being offered in public education.

My strengths: I write about what I am most interested in, therefore, my writings reflect my passions.

My feelings: Writing is a way to express my innermost thoughts without being interrupted and losing my train of thought.

My history: I have had Sunday school lessons published in the past. I have made an A on literally every research paper I have ever done. Since I am close to obtaining my PhD in Educational Leadership, I think my grades say a lot about my writing ability. I am currently planning to open my own research-based business for the benefit of educating educators.
