I really want to see him win an Oscar too, but last night's winner, Forrest Whitaker, really did deserve it. And Will gives a consistently good performance in consistently good movies. He'll be there again, trust me. Look at Leonard DiCaprio, he's been nominated several times. Just have patience. Will's gonna win eventually.

That's not exactly a question, but I guess we can turn it into a discussion. I wanted Will Smith to win too, The first time I saw the trailer for Pursuit* I knew he would get nominated. I'm bummed he didn't win. It always seems that when a popular actor like Will finally gets a good role, there's always someone who comes in with like this "great performance"(in a movie no one ever heard about) and sweeps all the awards. I was really hoping he could pull an upset, but I knew deep down it would never happen. I would have been happy if Leo or Ryan (fat chance, but I LOVE Him) won too. But I really wanted Will to win. I just hope someday he can get a really great role that can finally win him an oscar.

its true that he gave a great performance in the pursuit of happiness. i can say much cus i didnt see the movie of the person that won. but if he won, its because he deserved it.
