As long as you have a vaild passport you can be here up to 90 days...if you have any warrants out for your arrest, you may be detained at the airport however.

Hi
Travelers with minor traffic offenses which did not result in an arrest and/or conviction for the offense may travel visa free, provided they are otherwise qualified. If you are not sure whether or not you are eligible to travel visa free, the only way to resolve this question would be to apply for a visa.
If the traffic offense occurred while you were in the United States, and you have an outstanding fine against you or you did not attend your court hearing, it is possible there may be a warrant out for your arrest, and you will experience problems when applying for admission into the U.S. Therefore you should resolve the issue before traveling by contacting the court where you were to appear. If you do not know the address of the court then information is available from the Internet at www.uscourts.gov/links.html.
Travelers who have been arrested, even if the arrest did not result in a criminal conviction, and those with criminal records, (the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act does not apply to U.S. visa law), are required to apply for visas. If they attempt to travel without a visa, they may be refused entry into the United States. Please follow this link for further information.

hi, if anyone has told you u dont then they dont know!! it does depend on the crime but u'll have to get in touch with the American Embassy in London, if you dont apply for a visa they will knock u back as soon as you ghet there. My brother in aw has been done for drink driving and driving while banned, he had to apply and went for an interview in London last August, (they only hold them twice a year) and there were hundreds of ppl there. The majority were refused, really its all about money. You are told to take bank statements end proof you have enough money to do whatever it is you're doing there.
We were a family of six going and they new we would be spending a lot which is basically why they let him in, but they did tell him not to even try again for the next three years. I
If you have done something seriously violent or anything to do with drugs its a nearly definate NO and afraid. Unless you're a millionaire of course,
I personally think its a bit over the top and hypercritical that ppl like Kate Moss can just go at a wim! But thats life. Please ring the embassy before you book your hol, if you've got family u don't wanna let them down.
When u get to the U.S now they take fingerprints and photos etc and your whole record will be on there screen in front of them.
Good luck, hope you get in!!

Ask your travel agent the USA have better rules on stuff like this than us after 9/11. Sure we only let criminals into the UK its full of scum and we have no prison space left to put them in we should do what the Americans do stop being so f*****g polite and re-introduce capital punishment.

relies upon the place you're easily coming from, I easily have travelled to america many cases and on a similar time as on the plane on a similar time as filling in the Visa Waiver it asks in case you have a criminal checklist of any form. in case you do you may desire to imform the cabin team to be taken to a definite workplace with some immigration officers. in case you're from the united kingdom, you will could desire to stay with for a Visa or you are going to be able to no longer be allowed get right of entry to into the USA. i could propose calling the U. S. Embassy in London. you are going to be able to could desire to pay them a pass to.

well chap, thats wrong... if youve done a custodial sentence of over 5yrs, they wont let you in
and if youve ever been busted for drugs, they wont let you in...
anf if you dont declare it, and they find out, youll get arrested and banged up before they deport you as an undesirable...
if you still want to go, i suggest you land in canada and drive across the border...

Oh if you get stopped just speak fluent English and tell them you're not from Mexico and they kidnapped you and you were fleeing for your life.
I hope you can run fast and good luck with everything.
