I read all the answers before writing my own. I don't know about egg white as never tried it. Cannot say anything about the creams mentioned as we in India don't have same creams. Vaseline is a good idea. When my son had severe nappi rash, I was told by my doctor mom to clean the area with baby oil only. Everytime I changed his nappi I did that. I did not bathe my son for 3 days as water on rashes is very painful for them. No point increasing their pain. I only used oil to clean after he did his potty. The oil that I used was Johnson's. I noticed my son started howling when I used wipes on rashes. He was in pain.
Try only oil, it will work and the rashes will go away. My sons bottoms were all red everywhere and it worked on them. Keeping him dry and changing nappi frequently helped a lot. Teething seems to be the only cause of this. Also wash all toys of the baby as they put everything in their mouth and infection can happen in any way.

make sure that babys bottom is clean and dry then use sudocrem. Its great for nappy rash and other skin complaints. Once the nappy rash has cleared make sure that you vaseline or petroleum jelly daily on your babys bottom as this gives a water tight barrier protection on your babys skin and should help prevent nappy rash in the future.

Loads of people have told you about all sorts of creams.... Try a natural remedy used in Spain. Wisk an egg white until stiff the spread on to the affected area(clean and dry first) leave to dry for a few seconds then replace the nappy. Try and change babys nappy as soon as it is wet. reapply the egg after every change and only use neutral soap on the area once a day.

If you live in the UK the best cream to get for nappy rash is called fullers earth my nephew (now 9years old) use to suffer from nappy rash quit bad and this cream is wonderful, It healed his little bottom within 3 days. You should be able to get it in any chemist just ask for it and they should be able to get it for you. This cream has been going strong for years so hopefully they have not discontinued it and if they have ask the pharmacist for a similar cream.

Keep their nappy off as much as possible, let them lie in your lap or on the floor on a soft towel or blanket. Leaving a nappy on constantly creates a warm damp atmosphere which is not conducive to healing. When they are soiled clean with warm water with a drop of baby bubbles using clean cotton wool balls for each wipe. Obviously clean as gently as possible! When the nappy is put back on, the best cream I have found is Sudocrem, its cheap and cheerful and works SOOOO well!! Hope this helps x

My little one used to get nappy rash all the time, I don't know what you use when you change your baby but I used to use baby wipes and I found thats what was doing it as they weren't getting her clean enough, to get rid of the rash I used Metanium cream which is brilliant, and now I wash her bum with cottonwool soap and water and put Zinc and castor oil cream on generously and she hasn't had nappy rash since. I also make sure she drinks enough fluids to dilute her wee slightly so its not to strong.

Not sure where you live but in the UK the best one is Drapolene or Metanium. Best to wash with warm water rather than use a baby wipe and pat dry gently. Zinc cream gives a good moisture barrier but doesn't allow the skin to breathe. Also leave baby to kich free of nappy on a towell or something as often aspossible. That will clear it quicker than anything.

You can get a cream called 'Metanium' from chemists and some supermarkets. Also, Calendula Nappy Change Cream from Weleda is a fab, chemical free cream to use every nappy change to help prevent rashes..
