If your website is for your business, you don't want to cheapen your business name by using a free host like geocities. You want your business (and website) to be professional.

You can buy software like Microsoft's FrontPage that makes it easy to create a website. There are also a lot of places on the internet that offer free templates (layouts). You could copy those layouts and paste them into a website editor like FrontPage.

I don't know what your business is, but you can get design ideas from other websites.

After you create your website, you will have to advertise it otherwise it wont do you much good. You can get free advertising tips at the link below.

Here is an article to read before starting your own site: http://www.richkahmer.com/build-a-website.html
Make sure that you register your own domain name for a business site. A free page as a sub-domain looks very unprofessional.

www.freewebs.com - free, though the domain would be hard to find.

www.domain.com - .com, .org, and .net domains for only $14.95 per YEAR!
