It's very simple, my friend: Trust has nothing to do with it. The Holly-Weird left is aligning itself behind Obama because they want to be viewed by the American people as "progressive" by supporting an African-American candidate. Yes, they could also be perceived as progressive if they supported a woman for President, but they're only a little less stupid than the liberals on Capitol Hill so they're smart enough to realize that Hillary Clinton will NEVER be elected the leader of the free world. Too many Americans despise her, and most Democratic voters wouldn't vote for her. While I agree that Hollywood is completely ignorant, they don't trust Obama -- heck, they don't trust any politicians, but they'll back candidates that conform with their liberal views.

This is merely a predictable example of the symbiosis between the media and the Hollywood types. If they say what the media wants them to say on political issues, (look at how many are now saying "carbon neutral" as if it has any meaning to them) then they will continue to be covered by the media as celebrities. Charlton Heston? No, he's in the NRA, we aren't going to cover him. Clint Eastwood? Well, he's directing movies people are flocking to see, but we don't need his political comments. James Woods? No, he supports the President, no time for him.

Bottom line is they say they think Obama can be trusted because that's what the media told them to say if they don't want this interview to be their last. I doubt that half of them could pick Obama out of a police line-up with just Hillary and McCain as the other "suspects".

I think it shows the fickleness of Hollywood. And the extreme liberalness of Hollywood. Hillary has been trying to look like she is more moderate than she has been in the past. Obama is about as left as you can get. Hollywood changes with the wind and now it looks like Obama is the chosen one, so that's who they will back. For decades they kissed the Clinton's butts.

Full disclosure here, I am not for either one. I think this country is doomed if either one is elected, but I do enjoy watching the left / hollywood eat its own offspring.

I fail to understand why anyone cares what Hollywood thinks. Most of the celebrities constantly display a complete lack of understanding of even basic facts. To base who becomes president on their flawed understanding is insane.

The man who lives next door to you probably has a better understanding and is more knowledgeable on politics. So listen to him and ignore the brainless, self-important Hollywood stars.

Wow, I can't believe you said that. Don't get me wrong, I love that you did say it and I'm with you on it.

It's Hollywood and nothing is real or accurate in Hollywood so I'm sure you can see the likeness here.

The fact that they are only considering those two candidates sheds a little light on this forum's debate on which way Hollywood leans.

No more ignorant than when Hollywood supported Ronald Reagan or Clint Eastwood or Arnold Schwarzenegger.
