I've been trying to set this up for a while now but keep getting passed around from one office to the next. I just need to know what forms to fill out and where to file them! Thanks!

How much is your own time worth to you? How important would it be to get this done expeditiously, minimizing the likelihood of further problems? My understanding is that a 501(c)3 should be subject to close scrutiny by the taxing authorities, for obvious reasons.

As much as you might wish to be frugal, there are times when it really is best to spend money and retain an attorney familiar with such matters to handle things.

The easiest and best way is to go to a corporate attorney and let him set you up with a LTD corporation to protect your personal holdings.
Don't try this yourself or you may end up burning yourselfa 501 is okay, but costs you in the long run and makes for many headaches, especially if you get the business voted out of your power by other parties who will eventually have to become involved.
