Usually it starts with a barre warm-up that can be upwards from 20 minutes long. Then some middle of the room things like turns, adagios, jumps. Then some across the floor exercises like leaps, pique turns, pirouettes, things like that. Then the teacher makes up a combo or you work on one that you're doing to perform. Then it ends with reverance - a combo of arm movements and bows - to end the class.
I love ballet.

My class is an hour long. First we come in and do barre work. This includes the regular warmup stretch with plies, tendus, ronde jambe en' lair, releves, and other combinations. This usually lasts about a half hour. Then we go down the room with chaines, piques, tourjettes. Then the teacher usually gives us a few minutes to stretch. Then the teacher makes up a combination and we split the room in half and do it in two groups. Depending what part of the year it is we'll stop there and practice our dance or keep going. Finally we do reverance, which is like a final bow to end the class. Then as a sign of respect we clap. Hope this gives you an idea.

I take a two hour class and we usually spend like an hour and a half at the bar. Then we do combinations and different jumps across the floor. We usually have live artist playing the piano or drums.

first barre work, then some stretching at the barre, then stretching on the floor;
more "energetic", like turns and jumps, at the barre;
center floor work.

hope that helped!

You pretty much just do barre combinations- and work on your routine. before barre though, you stretch. Go for it. take some lessons and become a ballerina. ITS TOTALLY WORTH IT.

i replaced into on dance crew in extreme college. For one dance, we wore denims because we were dressing to in advantageous condition the music, and that i had to do a double toe-contact and my pants were too enormous....of course They fell down and that i confirmed the away travelers and our varsity basketball boys my wonderful panties.
