Well, i ignoored it, and i tried to get up, and its like my whole stomach was hard, and i just feel, i tried calling my dr and she said to just come im when what had sounded like contractions to here where 5 minutes apart!

well, when i layed down, the pain just went away. So i went to use the bathroom, and i seem to be getting a bloody mucus discharge, not like bright red, kinda a pinkish red...is this related to the stinging pain? or is this normal???

The discharge was your mucous plug coming out, that is supposed to happen during labor or anywhere up to 3 weeks earlier. Since you were having contractions shortly before you lost your plug, you may be in labor. You should go to the hospital. If you are not really in labor yet and it was just Braxton Hicks, they will send you home - but better to know for sure :)

Well it does sound like a contraction actually. You are probably in labor!!! If you can talk through them, they are not strong enough to be full labor. It's possible they are braxton hicks (practice contractions).

And the bloody mucous was probably your mucous plug, which some women lose weeks before they are in labor, and some right when they go into labor. As long as you are not continually bleeding (it was a one time occurrence) keep a timing of the sharp pain.

Good luck!

Those were contractions and it sounds like you've lost your mucus plug... you're in labor hun! A pinkish blood is common to follow the loss of a mucus plug, and as for your contractions, do a lot of walking and have sex, that will bring them on faster and closer together! Good Luck Sweetie, your little on is on tere way. Wishing you all the best for a fast and easy delivery! Take Care!!!

i think it sounds like a form of contractions -i was experiencing that same type of pain two days ago but mine wouldn't go away when i sat/walked/drank. as for the bloody mucous-that sounds like your mucous plug as well as your cervix dilating. i went to the hospital b/c i had a whole bunch with my first pg at 37 weeks and they said it seemed fine they checked the baby and the fluid and sent me home-that night my water broke. I would just wait it out the day unless the discharge is a whole lot and red not pink.
i think your just very close.

Well, your labor could very well be starting. The light pink mucus could be your plug and the cramps could be contractions. If you are really worried, go to your hospital and they will check you for labor. Good luck!
