The common query generated by google gives you the sanskrit or Hindi meaning of the word Omana = A Woman .

The malayalam word is slightly more complicated than the sanskrit conterpart.

Mostly know translation is "Darling" or "Precious" it could also mean "beloved"

It means "a lady".

I took interest because my husband is Malayalam.

There are several on line translators but they seem to be limited in scope or non functional.

I just typed the word into google and this is what came up along with a lot of businesses who have the name.

Cheers.

I absolutely love that area of the world, heat notwithstanding. My favourite season is, call me sick, monsoon season. Perhaps that is because I come from a place with heavy winter rains, although they are much colder!

the bottom link is to my photos from last summer. Alas my camera was down for the backwater trips and our time in Cochin and Bangalore.
