In my case it was love at first sight. The scene was (hardly) romantic. Underneath railway arches, in the shade of a near-derelict building she stepped out of a rickety mini-bus. And I was hooked. Something over 40 years later I still am, and we have been married for 38 of them come May!
Non, je ne regret rien

Yes, It was on 5th November 2005, I knocked on a hotel room door and met my partner for the first time ever, we had been chatting online for a while. I knew i really liked him, and could easily fall for him. He opened the door and just hugged me, then when I went in the room, he had bought me a monkey teddy and roses. I was totally bowled over! I knew then that I loved him!

it doesn't happen immediately. more often than not you will realize it and discover that you had loved this person all along. i had to hide my relationship from my parents (interracial; they didn't approve) and 2 months into it my mom found out and she told me we had to break up....i was devastated and i wasn't even allowed to leave the house so i had to do it over the phone. i was crying over the phone all night and before we hung up he told me he loved me. that was the first time he ever said it, and of course i said it back. i got back together with him about 2 days later...my relationship with him is too strong to be taken away by my parents. i love him too much.

When i met my girlfriend, it seemed like there was nothing else going on in the world. I was in a crowded pub and heard nothing but her voice and saw nothing but her face. i went to the bar to get us a drink and when i came back she was gone. I felt physically sick, (NO, not alcohol induced), but she had only gone to talk to one of her friends. It was at THAT exact moment i was in love, about 20 mins after i met her and we are still together 9 years later.

On journey to Belgium we stopped at a Little Chef for breakfast, we looked up, our eyes met and we both smiled. That was it. We've been together 16 years now.
