And why are their fans and media in such denial? There is NO question that hit on Drury was late, and therefore DIRTY. Why can Chris Neil only hit guys smaller than him? And from behind, or when they're not looking? And if Andrew Peters shouldn't have been fighting "Sugar" Ray Emery, WHERE WERE HIS TEAMMATES???
The Ottawa Senators and their organization are a bunch of dirty, whining, cowardly players who have no character and bow out in the playoffs EVERY YEAR. There's a REASON they needed a gift power play and a lucky bounce to beat a Buffalo team depleted by injuries and playing half of their Rochester guys.

the Senators since 1934 have NEVER won a Stanley Cup and those were Challenge Cups anyway. Keep in mind though, they became an expansion team in '92 along with Tampa Bay.
The Sabres have beat them in the '96 Quarter Finals, sweeped the '98 Quarter Finals, and beat them in the '05 Semifinals. The Senators have NEVER been Conference champs
The Sabres have always been the better team over the Sens.
The Senators suck and always will, and no I'm not a Leafs fan nor am I Canadien (nothing against them at all, I work for a Canadien company FYI).
But the fact still remains and the number show... Ottawa Senators SUCK!!!

You're right, but you need to find a more mature way of saying it. I don't like the Sens either, but venting to lift the Sabres just makes all of us in Buffalo look bad.
I don't care what the "hockey experts" said, I saw the video from different angles, and Neil's hit was only deemed legal because of where he made contact. He charged Drury from behind as Drury was slowing down, then plowed him late. The fine was a joke as well. If you want to take out one of my top skill players, I'll put out my checking line. I'll also make sure they can pop you one or two or three legal ones as retailiation.

You must be a Maple Leaf fan also, Always complaining about the SENS. And about Andrew Peters fighting "Sugar" Ray Emery, If you watched T.S.N or The Score or Sportsnet, Every player that was interviewed, said Ray Emery could handle himself, Good thing Brian McGratton didn't play in the first game in Buffalo, Or he would have knocked out Andrew Peters. Also when Ray Emery was in the minors He was known too drop glove and trapper if he had to. I'll bet the Sens go further then Buffalo this year. So stop your Whining. GO SENS GO!!!

Just incase you didn't realize, Sabres have won nothing more than the Senators have.
Infact, the Sens have 11 Stanley Cups -- challenge cups maybe, but thats 11 more than the Sabres have.

Lindy Ruff is a big whiner - he must pass it on to the fans. Even the hockey pundits said the hit was not a cheap shot and certainly not late.

because they are all gutless lead by their gutless captain who only thrives when the team is doing well and disappears when the team struggles... if the sens had a gary roberts type player i would guarantee 'sugar ray' wouldn't have had to fight peters.. chris neil only threatens to fight guys like tucker that are way smaller than him.. to me emery is the only one with cojones on the team therefore i guess he should have been fighting peters..

Buffalo is indeed a better team than Ottawa, but after watching the video, that hit was clean, it just had very bad intentions.

the hit was clean. the announcers deemed it clean the ref deemed it clean therefore it was a clean hit. ALTHOUGH it was very rude and unsportsmanlike..........drury should have moved the moment he passed the puck and neil should have tried not to hit him but this is hockey and if you get caught with your head down you're gonna get hit

spezza 6'3" 215 heatley 6'3" 210 and both were hugging the refs so nobody would hit them , meanwhile emery is willing to take on peters--kudos to emery but his team is gutless and they will NEVER win anything-------SABRES RULE
